Bison and Poppies on Lavender Skies


My latest commissioned painting, a 20x40 gallery wrap:  Bison and Poppies on Lavender Skies is a herd of gorgeous colored American Bison, one of my favorite animals to paint.   They are traveling along a lush landscape with profusion of poppy & wildflowers at their feet.  There is also a light turquoise-green baby calf!

    Wow, so great! Bison really are great animals, and you've done such a wonderful job capturing them. I am jealous you can do such large sizes, and I may get back to acrylics one of these days (I've been saying that for months!) Currently been trying to perfect some Copic Marker techniques but they do not lend themselves well to large canvases! (On the other hand, I would probably find the large canvas size very intimidating.) ;)
