This is a series of 8 cute and colorful baby sea turtle hatchlings at various stages of hatching! Each fully formed baby turtle will be independent and face many perils in life. Hatchlings are on eight mini 6x6 canvases.
The Saw Whet Owl is a tiny gnome-like bird with enormous eyes! In proportion to its head.....the eyes take up a third of the owl's face. These four little individuals are resting high on a branch.

My latest is the mystical Snow Leopard. This crazy colored cat has an unusually big tail.......proportionally equivalent to the length of its body. This helps the animal balance when jumping over rocks and crevices.

I've been getting ready for a local art show & workshop for Painted Rocks. Painting on rocks is a unique medium that can be fairly labor intensive......requiring minute details using tiny brushes & alot of patience! But each piece is a unique study with lots of character, and a great way to paint two dimensionally on a three dimensional surface.
